We must be clear that we are not here to create another fan site of some great person. Rather, we are passionate about sharing and educating others in the extremely relevant teachings of Dr. Schaeffer. Those who knew Dr. Schaeffer say that he had unparalleled compassion for people and a profound love of Truth. We here at Francis Schaeffer Studies.org have been personally touched by these two principles as we have studied Schaeffer ourselves. Now we wish to pass these principles and studies on to you.

THE LEGACY PROJECT - Many of the people who knew the Schaeffers personally have significant memories to share and we would like to help preserve and share them in some small way. NEW VIDEO & STUDY PROJECTS COMING SOON! - We have some new video projects that we will be formally introducting in the near future. We plan to launch the video component to our True Spirituality studies in the spring. In addition to this we are going to begin work on our Legacy video project as well. In the Legacy project we will interview people that knew Francis Schaeffer personally, asking them important questions about his life and his thoughts. Please pray for us as we continue to pursue these projects!

UPDATE ON THE LIFE & WORKS OF FRANCIS SCHAEFFER CLASS - With just one month filming left we are starting to turn our focus toward post-production. We hope to start making videos available shortly.

THE LIFE & WORKS OF FRANCIS SCHAEFFER CLASS

Dan and Jason have began their preparation for their class on the life and works of Francis Schaeffer this fall, which will be taught at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Overland Park, KS. This will be a video recorded class that gives a chronological survey of the life and works of Schaeffer with special attention given to explaining not only what Schaeffer's books are about, but why they were written. Out of this we hope to produce a series of videos for each of the book pages on the site.

GLOSSARY WORK BEGINS!

We have began work recently on the glossary section of several of Francis Schaeffer's books. Check out True Spirituality page (Click on the glossary tab) to see how this is going. It's not yet done, but we want to show some progress.

The first stage of this sub-project is to catalogue every person that Schaeffer mentions in his works and list them by chapter. The larger goal is to make it possible to search globally to see every time a person is mentioned. So if you want to find out what Schaeffer's take on Kierkegaard is for example, you will know where to read.

FRANCIS SCHAEFFER DAY CELEBRATION!

On January 30th, we celebrated Francis Schaeffer's birthday, and had our official release party!

FrancisSchaefferStudies.org actually launched on 1-1-11, but we thought it might be hard to throw a party on new years day, so we scheduled our party on Francis Schaeffer's birthday.
